Its true. I think they're your best yet.

Thanks, I keep trying to make them both opposites, so while Snakepaw's design is pretty simple and has a darker palette, much like his personality, while Patchpaw's design is bright and a bit chaotic. Their both quite strong, but Snakepaw's muscles are sharper, while Patchpaw's muscles are rounder. I try to keep this like opposite parallels 

Interesting. Contrasts are an interesting effect. Opposing colours on the palette tend to make the other colour look larger, actually. It makes sense that you'd try and use that in your art to enhance it.
